What a great clip. I can only imagine the sense of relief after a show is over. WHEW.

WAITING AS A GOAL
What if the waiting is the goal.
This reminds me a passage in “Why We Gather,” by Priya Parker.
The part about waiting in line to get into some big political rally. People standing in line for hours. Then sitting. All the waiting. All the downtime.
Not saying every minute needs to be optimized, but like the story above – the artist served food. Made it an event.
What slowed down, made-to-wait experience can you incorporate into your work?

MAKE REAL STUFF
From Joshua Heath Scott:
“As artists and creatives, we face the challenge of standing out against the digital tide. Han explores the importance of making real, physical art that holds emotions, memories, and true community value, unlike the fleeting nature of digital information.”
This really makes me want to start putting together a print version of Social Media Escape Club. Of printing photos every month. Of making newspaper projects with Newspaper Club.

I’M NOT A ROBOT
Found this via the YouTube algorithm. Very dark.
NETWORKING WITHOUT SOCIAL MEDIA
I spoke with Frederick Woodruff how a musician friend of mine keeps making connection without being on any social media platforms (above). Watch the full clip below!
NOAH KALINA SLOWLY LOSING HIS MIND
This image from Noah’s recent video shook me. What a shot.
MORE SACONY CREEK
I still really don’t know what I’m doing. Today, I put my camera in manual mode, adjusted the aperture and shutter speed (I guess), and let it rip for five minutes at a time. Holding my breath, making sure not to take a step, not fidgeting with my lens cap (I put it in my pocket after the first three shots).
Even then, getting home and managing the files and learning Davini Resolve on the fly. Like, what is color grading? I don’t know, but I know the raw camera footage was very “white light,” so I made some adjustments to make that sun more yellow as it looked real life.
Watch the full 5+ minute scene here.
SACONY CREEK
Another quick creek capture. Please enjoy.
NEVER QUIET
Creek and Sheep from Seth Werkheiser on Vimeo.
It’s a noisy world out there, even when you’ve got your camera on a tripod in the middle of a creek. My friend had to feed their friend’s sheep while they’re away, and well, they’re loud creatures.
MOSSY WATERFALL
Cute little waterfall I found while out hiking. Could probably have framed this a bit better, but oh well.
