Seth Werkheiser (b. 1976, Pennsylvania) is a guide for the social media exodus, seeking to forge digital to offline connections, build communities, and spark creativity in the ever-changing realms of online marketing.
A third-generation musician, Seth founded the pioneering Buzzgrinder music blog in 2001, which became a springboard to launching Noisecreep for AOL Music in 2008. At Noisecreep, Seth developed many exclusive interviews and features, which gave metal and hard rock legends a platform to connect with their audience just as social media was beginning to take hold.
Over the past decade, Seth has crafted email campaigns that carry the stories and messages of a diverse array of creative clients, including Grammy Award Winning MNRK Heavy, Last Gang Records, Death Row Records, Holdtight PR, Brooklyn’s Artists & Fleas, SOFIE, Black Label Society, Nina Nastasia, and Solid MFG.
Through his newsletter, Social Media Escape Club, Seth empowers 4,000+ creatives to connect directly with their audience, grow their fanbase, and burn down the constraints of social media algorithms.
When not breaking the hearts of social media platform shareholders, Seth enjoys spending time in the woods, making photographs, and creating soundscapes for interplanetary commutes.
